Pine acres bear camp

Pine acres is a great camp and affordable for a first time bear hunter! We arrived at Chris’s on a Sunday early afternoon discussed shot placement sow vs bore and what to do upon shooting a bear! we were off to the bush to chase the elusive black bear! Chris dropped each of us off at our bait showed us our stand and then carried on to drop off next hunter. it took about 1.5 hours and there he was standing 30 yards staring at me! I froze felt like he could hear my heat thumping as we had our stare down, All I could wonder is how did he make it through that thicket without a noise being made! after what seemed to be an eternity he blinked and turned around back into the bush! damn that was my chance I should have tried to draw on him! another 30 mins go by and I hear a branch break there he is 20 yards away and in another stare down! Finally his hunger over comes fear and he makes the mistake going to the bait! chris came out immediately and helped me dress the bear and then made me wait for the other guys to help drag the bear out. I have been on 7 bear hunts and pine acres has been by far my best experience! 7 days hunting in Ontario there’s no better bang for your buck!
